The month of December is very exciting for a lot of people. It’s the time of year to get together with your family and friends and go Christmas caroling, tree shopping and decorate for the season. This is my favorite time of year because I get to spend a lot of time with my family who I don’t get to see very often. I also enjoy watching all of the Christmas movies that come on television.

Many people have told me they are giving Thank You Jesus signs as Christmas gifts this year. What an incredible way to spread the message of Thank You Jesus. We all have so much to be thankful for this time of year and seeing the signs with Christmas decorations and lights is a great reminder to pause for a moment during this busy season and say “Thank You Jesus” for all that he has given us and will do for us in the future.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My Thank You Jesus Story

Every other Thursday I travel to see my oldest brother Buzzy who is 80 years old. When the signs began popping up I was simply over-joyed. It seemed that every where I went they were there. I asked my sister to find out where I could get a sign but as time passed so did the thought of getting one.

My precious husband Doug was diagnosed as terminal in November of 2015. God gave us five months to discuss everything my husband wanted to tell me. He was taken home in April of this year. My heart was crushed.

This year on my Birthday my sister gave me many wonderful gifts, but only one stood out; my “Thank You Jesus” sign. I cried and cried and cried.

I have a giving heart normally but not with my sign. I didn’t stick it in my yard for everyone to see. Instead, it’s against my patio wall just for me to see when I open my blinds first thing in the morning. It’s there when I look out my window (after crying the biggest part of the day – grieving is hard) and it’s there when I leave my home (day or night). It has been and is a healing balm – for that I say “Thank You Jesus”.

As I was making my way recently to my husband’s grave, my eyes were filled with tears. I stopped to wipe my eyes and there in the middle of our church cemetery someone had placed a “Thank You Jesus” sign. It was too much for my heart. It was a gift from above. God is so good!
